Introduction

Disney World pros know the best spots to find good coffee—a necessity especially for parents gearing up for a day at the theme parks—so let’s talk about one of my favorites, Let Petit Cafe. Here is my review of the cafe and lounge at Disney’s Riviera Resort at Walt Disney World.

About Le Petit Cafe

Let Petit Cafe is a quaint cafe and bakery located in the lobby at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Blink and you’ll miss because it’s just to your left upon entry, sandwiched between La Boutique and Voyageurs’ Lounge (the latter of which is on my list of one of the best places to write at Walt Disney World).

The decor is definitely French-inspired, aligning perfectly with the European-themed resort. Fun fact: the name Le Petit Cafe was inspired by the cafe featured in The Aristocats—look for the art work in the cafe for a nod to the fan-favorite-feline film.

Le Petit Cafe stands out above the rest for several reasons, namely that the coffee is actually quite good (it is surprisingly hard to find a solid cup of coffee on Disney World property). Trust it’s not hyperbole when I say an iced coffee from Le Petit Cafe brought me back to life after a rough morning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The cafe also serves pastries, seasonal macarons, Lemon Madeline, and Biscotti during the morning hours.

The other reason it stands above the rest? Le Petit Cafe transforms into a lounge offering alcoholic beverages at dinner time, providing a quick stop for drinks for the Disney Adults.

The Verdict

My thoughts? Le Petit is a solid addition to a stand out resort (here is my guide to staying at the Riviera and my review of Topolino’s Terrace, the top notch character dining experience). The dedicated cafe elevates the Disney resort experience when compared to other resorts that only offer a drip at a quick-service location. To be clear, I’m not above brewing a cup of Joffrey’s in my resort room, or pouring a searing hot cup into my refillable mug when the occasion calls—but Le Petit Cafe is consistently good and convenient. And that can add some much needed, caffeine-infused magic to your Disney vacation.

Have you tried Let Petit Cafe? Let me know!
