Beautiful, magical, dangerous, cold—what surprises will the World of Frozen hold? We will find out soon, and until then, let’s take a peek into details just revealed by Walt Disney Imagineering.
Frozen Ever After. Now that we officially know that the World of Frozen is opening in November 2023, Disney is starting to release tidbits of details about the highly-anticipated land. The above concept art is of Hong Kong Disneyland’s version of Frozen Ever After (an attraction that already exists over at EPCOT). The concept art shows Olaf and Sven meeting in a snowy forest under an ice crystal tree (created by Elsa, natch). The second image above shows the last part of the attraction, where Anna, Elsa, and Olaf welcome guests back after their trip up the North Mountain.
Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. Billed as the first Frozen-themed roller coaster on Earth (yes, really), the story goes that Wandering Oaken—with the help of Olaf and Sven—built this sleigh ride. Disney Imagineering gave us a deeper look into the queue for Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs on Instagram; from the vide, it looks like the standard two-seater mid-sized coaster. Guests will be able to see Oaken in his sauna (because, why not?). Other details include wooden columns carved with Trolls. Another Disney Imagineering video of both Wandering Oakland’s Sliding Sleighs and Frozen After shows the coaster swirling quickly around a snow-capped hill—it looks to be a thrill!
The Golden Crocus Inn. This appears to be a dining option named after the national symbol of Arendelle. Stay tuned for pricing, the menu, and whether this is a quick service or table service restaurant.
Tick Tock Toys and Collectibles. Every land needs a souvenir shop, and this one is operated by “a wood carver and his wife.” Expect Frozen-inspired toys, merch, and collectibles.
Northern Delights. Sadly, this is not an aptly-titled nighttime spectacular, but instead a sweets shop.
Playhouse in the Woods. Described as an interactive play experience found within the forest, this experience is inspired by Anna and Elsa’s childhood playhouse. It is not clear whether this is an area for kids to play or a walk-through attraction similar to Enchanted Tales with Belle over at the Magic Kingdom.
