This is not a drill. Not content with revealing an entirely new theme park (Epic Universe), Universal just announced that a new Dreamworks Animation land is coming in fall of 2024!

Universal hasn’t shared much, just that guests can expect to share moments with special characters, like Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse, and explore interactive areas and attractions based on the likes of Shrek, Trolls, and Kung Fu Panda.

Though the details are scant, this is promising. Theme park goers know Universal has great rides, but for years it’s lacked family-friendly fare. This, along with the plans to open a small, family focused park in Dallas, shows a commitment by Universal to guests with small children. It also shows a commitment to its existing Orlando parks in the wake of major hype for Epic Universe.

Are you excited about this new land? Tell me your thoughts!
