If you have kids like me and are planning a trip to Disney World this summer, you need to be aware of new additions and activities happening around the parks and resorts summer! Here are the new deals and kid-friendly-activities coming to Disney World summer 2025.

Summer Disney World Deals

Though I am not a travel agent, I figured it would be helpful to know there are a ton of vacation deals for families visiting WDW this summer, including:

  • 50% off kids tickets for for 3-day or longer park tickets for kids aged 3-9 fo dates May 27 through September 30.
  • 3 Day, 3 Park Tickets starting at only $89 dollars per day for visits between April 6 and September 22 for EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom BUT NOT the Magic Kingdom.
  • A Free Dining Plan Deal returns but only for non-discounted 4 night, 4 day (or longer) packages at Disney Resorts for tickets with a park hopper—it’s that last part that gets me. With younger kids we don’t use Parkhoppers as much, so this deal doesn’t help families like us, but if you do purchase Park Hoppers, this could be a good deal.

The Disney Water Park Perk

Don’t forget that Disney Resort guesses get free admission to a Disney water park on the day of their check in. This is an even bigger benefit now that both Typhoon Lagoon and. Blizzard Beach will be simultaneously—the first time since 2019!

New Kid-Friendly Experiences Coming to Disney World Theme Parks

Disney announced loads of kid-friendly happenings around the parks and resorts, like enhanced kid zones at Storybook Circus and Tomorrowland with Stitch, and also, Goofy will be “taking over” CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT with a ultimate game party and play space when Flower & Garden ends.

There will also be kid zones with new opportunities to interact with characters, pop-ups, games, music, dancing, and more. This actually sounds exciting, and welcome during the summer months. I will keep you updated.

Disney pros know that guests staying at Disney resorts get early entry into the theme parks (with a theme park ticket, of course). Disney plans to have characters out in the park earlier than normal for this period—we don’t know which parks or which characters, but this sounds like an interesting way for guests to be entertained during the early hours of a theme park day.

Additional Fun at Select Resorts

There are so many perks to staying on Walt Disney World property, and you can add another perk to that list come this summer. Disney Characters will be available for character visits at set times—meaning you can plan for the meet without leaving your resort. Perfect for those relaxing “resort days.” We don’t know which characters will be featured yet—subscribe to my newsletter or YouTube channel for updates—but we do know the participating resorts:

  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort
  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

New Shows and Parade

And don’t forget two brand new, family-friendly shows are opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 27: The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. With new storylines and cutting edge technology, these look to impress—and all in the cool air conditioning.

And of course, a brand new nighttime parade called Disney Starlight premieres at the Magic Kingdom this summer (date TBD).  Here are all the details about both shows and the parade.

I am excited about all this news—I will be at Disney World several times over the summer and will bringing you all the updates about these family-friendly offerings.
